The simple definition

A bridge page sits between an advertisement and the main offer. Its job is to prepare the visitor for the next page by adding context, explaining why the offer matters and making the transition less abrupt.

When it is useful

Bridge pages are especially helpful when an affiliate sales page begins with unfamiliar language, when your advertisement promises a specific benefit, or when you want to explain your own experience before referring the visitor.

What belongs on it

A focused headline, short recognition of the visitor’s problem, two or three meaningful benefits, honest context and one clear button are often enough. A bridge page does not need to reproduce the entire sales page.

What to remove

Remove unrelated banners, multiple offers, long navigation menus and claims you cannot support. Every extra choice competes with the next step the page was built to encourage.

A responsible next step

Use this guide to identify one action you can complete and document. Avoid changing everything at once. A small test with clear records usually teaches more than a large campaign built on assumptions.
